3D Printing Fume Extraction and Filtering

BOFA’s 3D PrintPRO range of fume extraction and filtration systems is designed for the 3D Printing industries, including stereolithography, selective laser sintering (SLS), 3D printing, fused filament fabrication (FFF), polyjet technology, and wax deposition modelling (WDM).

The 3D PrintPRO range of extraction systems combine high capture performance with proven filter technology, ensuring the effective removal of hazardous particulate, gases/vapours and odours associated with 3D printing methods.​

3D PrintPro 2

​

The BOFA 3D PrintPRO 2 is a low cost unit which extracts fumes generated by the printer without causing the filament deposition area to be cooled.

It has the benefits of low noise level and minimal power consumption. Each unit is supplied with a connection hose, a "Stay Put" arm, and conical shaped nozzle.

3D PrintPro 3

​

The BOFA 3D PrintPRO 3 incorporates an externally mounted plenum system which effectively captures fumes generated during the printing process and returns ultra clean, filtered air to the operator’s breathing zone. 

The BOFA 3D PrintPRO 3 has the benefits of low cost, low power consumption and integral speed control. Each filtration unit is supplied with connection hoses and ‘print your own’ plenum instructions.

Laser Fume Extraction and Filtering

​

Lasers are now an essential tool in industry for cutting, marking, engraving and welding a vast range of materials. Metals are the most commonly worked substrate but organic materials (plastics, paper, wood) are catching up fast.  And both secondary and post-secondary schools recognize this as they're buying equipment like GCC LaserPro laser engravers/cutters.

​

In virtually all laser operations, some form of fume is given off as the laser thermally decomposes the substrate to a greater or lesser degree. This fume is a mixture of particulate and gaseous matter.

​

Fume from materials such as metals and glass is mainly particulate, the majority of which is less than 1µ (micron) in diameter.  Organic materials, particularly plastics, produce much more complex fumes.  These particles fall within the respirable range and need to be removed from the working environment to prevent bronchial or lung damage.

​

Obviously these gases need removing from the classroom/lab/workplace.

​

AD Base C180

​

The Advantage Base C180 has been designed specifically for the GCC C180 II laser engraver. The dimensions of the unit allow the C180 II to fit perfectly onto the extractor, effectively doubling it up as a workstation. The unit is also offered with an onboard air compressor to provide the laser with its air assist requirements and comes complete with extraction hose kit and compressor link up on compressor models.
