Three programs are available in the Introductory series.

Generating Clean Electrons - The GT-1500 Clean Electron Generation Panel provides students an introductory hands-on interactive experience with the three leading sources of alternative energy generation technologies.

  • Wind Power

    • Installing and testing a wind turbine.

    • Configuring and testing off-grid installations.

    • Design/create a wind turbine power system.​

  • Solar Power

    • Installing, combining and testing solar panels.

    • Configuring, testing and operating off-grid solar installations.

    • Design/create a solar charging system for portable hand-held devices.​

  • Fuel Cells

    • Connecting a fuel cell for electrical generation

    • Configuring, testing and operating off-grid fuel cell installations

  • Combining Wind and Solar Power Systems

    • Configuring and testing combined alternative energy systems for off-grid operations.

    • Connecting a fuel cell into alternative energy systems for off-grid operations.

Sustainable Conservation - The GT-2500 Sustainable Conservation Technology Panel provides students an introductory hands-on interactive experience with multiple energy design, monitoring and auditing processes and technologies.

  • Energy Auditing

    • Measure electrical consumption of devices and electrical loads in residential & commercial buildings.

    • Measure lighting loads and implement power saving options for various structures.

    • Evaluate insulation values associated with different common insulation materials.

  • Environmental Monitoring

    • Use a portable datalogger to gather environmental data for analysis.

    • Evaluate the insulating qualities of soil and water.

    • Employ a humidity sensor to record humidity levels.Measure and chart temperature changes in various areas of a structure as heat levels and insulation materials change.

  • Sustainable Architecture

    • Determine structural components of residential and commercial buildings affect on energy consumption.

    • Use Computer Aided Drafting & Design software to plan sustainable residential & commercial structures.

    • Use heating/cooling techniques associated with solar lighting and window placement

  • Green Structure Design

    • Design and create a residential structure using green technology and applying LEEDS standards

Green Electronics - The GT-8000 Green Electronics Technology Panel provides students an introductory hands-on interactive experience with multiple energy generating and electronic component technologies.

  • Fundamentals of Electricity

    • Learn about the atom, electricity, conductors, insulators, current, voltage, electromagnetic fields, loads and resistance.

  • Electrical Circuits

    • Discuss how different components are represented on block diagrams, functional diagrams, schematic diagrams and pictorial diagrams.

    • Measure voltage, resistance and current.

  • DC Power

    • Compare and contrast different types of batteries. Measure voltages of batteries connected in various configurations.

    • Generate hydrogen gas and produce electricity using fuel cell technology.

    • Explore solar photovoltaic cells & wind turbines and use both to generate electricity.

    • Learn about and utilize switches, diodes, photodiodes, fuses, relays and conductors in electrical circuits.

    • Introduction to electrical circuits, ohm's law and power calculations. Create complete electrical circuits and calculate voltage, current and resistance of any point in the circuit.

  • AC Power

    • Learn the basics aspects of the AC power sine wave and measure an AC power source.

    • Introduction to Faraday's Law, Lenz's Law, power losses, inductive action, phase angles, electromagnetic induction and transformer construction. Learn about inductors and capacitance.

  • Electrical Loads

    • Explore resistors, lights, solenoids and electric motors.

Advanced

Using current industry theory and hands-on practices, the Marcraft Advanced series includes hands-on training panels for seven individual technologies (listed below).  The program also includes a fully illustrated student text written by green industry luminary Jay Warmke and a fully illustrated lab guide featuring guided hands-on procedures as well as open research and design activities.

Adding SCADA (Supervisory Controls and Data Acquisition Applications) to many of the advanced level Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency panels allows users to control and monitor the panel from a remote computer. Linked to the SCADA-Pro by USB, multiple sensors can provide instant data to the software. 

The SCADA-Pro is also adaptable to other systems with the right sensors.
