LearnMate, Intelitek’s Learning Management System hosts hundreds of hours of online learning for a variety of CTE and STEM learning programs. This link gives a sample of many of the courses available and can be filtered by product family, online and lab courses, and by language availability.

Many courses also offer simulations of Intelitek's hardware including robots, CNC machines, etc.  This offers an excellent way to get your students comfortable with machine processes and programming until they can get back in the lab.  (The same holds true even if you don't have the machines themselves; the simulations are a great tool.)

When you find a course you're interested in, simply contact your Regional Manager who can set you up with temporary access to the course.

MakeyMakey logo

Makey Makey is an electronic invention tool and toy that allows users to connect everyday objects to computer programs. Using a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, the toy uses closed loop electrical signals to send the computer either a keyboard stroke or mouse click signal. This function allows the Makey Makey to work with any computer program or webpage since all computer programs and webpages take keyboard and mouse click inputs.

The kits are packaged perfectly to allow students to check them out and work with them at home, sharing their inventions with their teachers and fellow classmates.  Makey Makey also offers an online educator page with lots of projects, lessons, and ideas!

And if you're looking for professional development, Learning Labs is also capable of offering Makey Makey Invention Literacy Workshop for K12 Educators.  This can be done virtually or on-site.

Learn Computer Science at home without a robot.

VEXcode VR lets you code a virtual robot using a block based coding environment powered by Scratch Blocks. VEXcode VR is based on VEXcode, the same programming environment used for VEX 123, GO, IQ and V5 robots. We all know that robots make Computer Science (CS) come to life with real world applications. Now STEM learning can continue while at home for students, teachers and mentors with no access to their VEX robots.

VEX Robotics and VEXcode are providing opportunities for students of all ages to participate in learning the code that makes these robots work. VEX makes computer science and STEM come to life through collaborations, hands-on projects, and engaging experiences. From classrooms to competitions, VEXcode helps to create the next generation of innovators.

No software installations required. VEXcode VR works in all major desktop and tablet browsers.
