In light of the pandemic, Learning Labs, Inc. wants to highlight products/services that many of our manufacturers are offering to help high school CTE/STEM teachers continue to teach in these trying times.

LearnMate, Intelitek’s Learning Management System hosts hundreds of hours of online learning for a variety of CTE and STEM learning programs. This link gives a sample of many of the courses available and can be filtered by product family, online and lab courses, and by language availability.

Many courses also offer simulations of Intelitek's hardware including robots, CNC machines, etc.  This offers an excellent way to get your students comfortable with machine processes and programming until they can get back in the lab.  (The same holds true even if you don't have the machines themselves; the simulations are a great tool.)

When you find a course you're interested in, simply contact your Regional Manager who can set you up with temporary access to the course.

Schools are challenged with finding ways to convert their class activity into online lessons and how to train teachers to do so, to ensure the continuation of education.


Recognizing the enormous impact this situation has on a school community, Amazon Future Engineer is offering free online Virtual Robotics and Coding courses for any student or teacher affected by school closures due to COVID-19 in the US.

Students and teachers at primary schools, middle schools and high schools are invited to program their own virtual robots through CoderZ platform.


Amazon Future Engineer will continue to closely monitor the needs of students and teachers going forward.

Makey Makey is an electronic invention tool and toy that allows users to connect everyday objects to computer programs. Using a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, the toy uses closed loop electrical signals to send the computer either a keyboard stroke or mouse click signal. This function allows the Makey Makey to work with any computer program or webpage since all computer programs and webpages take keyboard and mouse click inputs.
