Schools are challenged with finding ways to convert their class activity into online lessons and how to train teachers to do so, to ensure the continuation of education.

 

Recognizing the enormous impact this situation has on a school community, Amazon Future Engineer is offering free online Virtual Robotics and Coding courses for any student or teacher affected by school closures due to COVID-19 in the US.

Students and teachers at primary schools, middle schools and high schools are invited to program their own virtual robots through CoderZ platform.

 

Amazon Future Engineer will continue to closely monitor the needs of students and teachers going forward.

Makey Makey is an electronic invention tool and toy that allows users to connect everyday objects to computer programs. Using a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, the toy uses closed loop electrical signals to send the computer either a keyboard stroke or mouse click signal. This function allows the Makey Makey to work with any computer program or webpage since all computer programs and webpages take keyboard and mouse click inputs.

The kits are packaged perfectly to allow students to check them out and work with them at home, sharing their inventions with their teachers and fellow classmates.  Makey Makey also offers an online educator page with lots of projects, lessons, and ideas!
