Career and Technology
Education
Career Connections is a program consisting of a series of hands-on
mini-courses called Career Pathway Units (CPUs) as well as lab
management products, lab equipment, and whole class products. Their programs include:
-
C areer Pathway Units (CPUs) - 15
hour units designed to introduce students (at whatever level) to
various knowledge and hands-on experience in specific career areas.
CPUs are stand alone, which means they can be used independently or
combined with any or all of the other units. Each CPU contains all
the software, equipment, supplies, kits, and tools necessary to
complete the included activities.
-
Engineering Application Series (EAS) -
an online collection of fun and exciting problem-based learning
opportunities. EAS provides students the opportunity to master
critical academic, workplace, and life skills while solving
real-world challenges.
-
Speed Track Challenge Packs - an
innovative project-based learning system designed to seamlessly
integrate radio controlled racing with virtually any career and
technology program

Health Science
Instructors know the
reality--many areas of health education can't be covered with the
limited time and resources
available. As a result, students aren't given opportunities to explore different avenues and acquire the cross
training skills necessary to make an educated career
choice within the health care field.
In response to this need,
Applied Technologies presents the Health Science Education Series. The
two programs in this Series are correlated to the National Health Care
Skills Standards established by the
National Consortium on Health Science Education to
create an educationally sound, standards-driven curriculum with
specific, hands-on skill sets. Both programs have also been
correlated to many state standards
including all of the Learning Labs states. The two programs include:
-
Academic Foundations
-
Communications
-
Systems
-
Employability Skills
-
Legal Responsibilities
-
Ethics

Green Technology
Perhaps
no topic is currently more prominent than Green Technology.
Every day, on a worldwide scale, new technologies and sciences are
being explored and implemented in an effort to alleviate our
dependence on fossil fuels and embrace newer and safer alternative
energy sources. Individuals, as well as entire nations, are
uniting in a effort to conserve Earth's non-renewable resources,
better manager resources that are renewable, and to minimize
pollutants that harm the environment.
Applied Technologies' Green Technology Series addresses these and
other related topics through a 65+ hour package of courseware.
As students are introduced to various causes, effects, and
solutions, their findings are reinforced through hands-on
activities.
Our programs include:
-
Green
Technology Career Pathway Units (CPUs) - comprised of a
required 5-hour Introduction to Green Technology prerequisite and
four individual 15-hour Career Pathway Units (CPUs). The CPUs
may be purchased and used independently or as a combined package.
Students explore the courseware in
either whole-class or in self-guided learning-center configurations.
-
Hydrogen Fuel Cell Experiment Kits - a series of kits
designed to further increase your students' awareness of alternative
fuels and their benefits

green technology section on Applied Technologies' website or contact
your Regional Manager for
more information.
IT Certification
Applied Technologies offers an innovative, network-based IT
certification training tool located on a self-contained network
storage device designed to easily plug directly into a school’s
existing network. Within minutes, an entire campus can have access
to a massive library of instructional videos, demonstrations, and
practice exams. Also included is a set of certification exam
simulators for all technical certifications. These exam simulators
are the closest replication of the real exams! Exams are presented
in a randomized, timed format. The exam simulator breaks down
student test results by objective, just like the testing center. This feature allows
instructors to analyze exam results, customize testing options, and
assign additional studies for specific objectives as they deem
necessary based on their findings.

IT certification section on Applied Technologies' website or contact
